Fantastic Fundraiser Finish |
|
|
Prize drawings and a glow party concluded our Give a Little, Bless a Lot fundraiser this week. Our school is blessed with the generosity and support of so many – an amazing $33,000 was raised by family, friends, staff, and parishioners who care deeply about Catholic Education and St. Michael School.
Much of the fundraiser’s success comes from the help of parent volunteers like Katie Krystosek and Corina Arnett, who co-chaired the event. The time they spent brainstorming, organizing, managing, and promoting the fundraiser made a tremendous difference and helped bring our entire school community together. We also thank Krystosek Law Office and Brandon from Sioux Falls Mobile DJ for their generosity in making our Glow Party extra fun!
We are grateful to every student who participated, every family who reached out to donors, and every supporter who gave.

Pop-Tab Pandemonium is Back! |
|
|
St. Michael School is once again participating in the Pop-Tab Pandemonium Challenge to support the Ronald McDonald House. Each classroom will have a clear collection container, and students can bring in pop tabs throughout the year—every tab makes a difference for families in need.
As classroom tubs fill, students will bring them to the office to add to our large school-wide container, and the class with the most tabs by spring will earn a special prize.
This is a great way for our students to learn generosity and put gratitude into action. Let’s work together to make this our best year yet—last year we placed in the Top 5 without even having an organized collection!
Thank you for supporting this meaningful project!

The Prayer Booklet through our St. Michael Parish is back! It is a fun way to help your child learn important prayers of their faith and be able to keep and reference them their whole life!
There are 3 sections that are color coated: green, orange and blue. Each color has certain prayers for your child to learn stated on the index card. Once one is memorized your child can come to any catechist, parish staff member, Priest or Brother at our Pastorate to recite and receive their card. Once a child gets all the green cards they receive a St. George medal, all the orange a St. Michael medal and blue an Our Lady of Victory medal. If you are new to St. Michael Elementary or lost your booklet please let your teacher know and we will get you one.

We will be supporting the St. Michael Parish Food Drive for Feeding South Dakota. Students are invited to bring non-perishable food items to school from November 19–26. Donations may be dropped off at the collection table located outside of the school office.
Fifth grade students and their families showed their generosity this week by bringing in donations to the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Thank you for your generosity and for teaching our students that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference!
