Fundraiser is Underway!

We are excited to kick off our annual fundraiser “Give a Little, Bless a Lot” October Pay a Day Calendar! This year brings something new: families can now collect donations electronically through their own personalized fundraising page. This easy-to-use platform makes it simple to share the fundraiser with family and friends, near and far, so everyone has the opportunity to support our school. Every gift, big or small, makes a difference—and together, our small acts of generosity will bless our students, staff, and community in a big way!

Families should have received an email yesterday with a link to our school fundraiser. Each student household was sent one unique link. If you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your SPAM or Junk folder. Email smifundraiser@gmail.com if you don’t think you received the link.

Information about the fundraiser was also sent home on Thursday. In it, you’ll find easy, step-by-step instructions on how to personalize your family fundraising page, along with details about school-wide incentives and how every donation makes a difference for our students and staff. Please take a few minutes to review the information, and don’t hesitate to reach out to the school with any questions.

A few important reminders:

• The fundraiser platform, Omella, accepts tips. If you do not wish to leave a tip, please select “Other” when prompted.

• When selecting a payment option, bank transfer allows donations with no service fee. Other options include a small processing fee.

• We still gladly accept donations by cash or check. For gifts of $25 or more, please include the donor’s name and address. Cash and checks may be turned in at the office throughout October in an envelope labeled with your family name.

Family Math Night

Tuesday, September 30th
5:30-7:00 (please note time change)

We are excited to welcome all families to our upcoming Family Math Night! This special evening is designed to give parents and students the chance to discover fun, hands-on ways to practice math together.

Each classroom will be "hosting" a different game. Families are welcome come and move throughout the building—whether you’d like to stay and play several games or just stop in for fifteen minutes of math fun! To help everyone get the most out of the night, we encourage families to make other arrangements for non-school-age siblings. We hope to see you there!

Safe2Say Tip Line

Safe2Say South Dakota is a statewide tip line that allows South Dakota schools and students to remain safe by collecting anonymous reports regarding student safety concerns. South Dakota students, school staff, and community members can anonymously report sensitive information that concerns their safety or the safety of others, including mental health concerns. Safe2Say operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone with information about a potentially dangerous situation can call the toll-free number: 1-844-373-7233, visit https://safe2say.sd.gov or download the safe2Say app to report safety concerns. A trained Safe2Say analyst will forward the information to a multi-disciplinary team for action.
